Here’s the work I loved!
and the Lion goes to…
Orange, Marcel
I will never get tired of watching this. It did what the U.S. Women's National Team has been striving towards for years.
Cerave, Ogilvy PR
I called it as soon as I saw the pictures of him walking down the streets of New York with bags full of Cerave products! This is the perfect example of using a celebrity. From the name to the humor, it’s intentional to him and the brand.
I know jerseys have become the latest Pinterest trend, but as a Colombian soccer fan they’ve always been fashionable to me. I love how this washing machine brand simply did it’s job and removed what fans consider stains. I wish all club jerseys looked like this!
Consul, DM9
My first thought after watching this was that I would be a billionaire with my Fortnite account. I feel like this is so smart in solving so many problems for today’s youth, from financial literacy to modernizing banks.
Banco del Pacífico, Paradais DDB
I feel like this is a different take on TagWords! Their beer must have a secret recipe for success. They do such a good job of taking what culture has already done for them.
Budweiser, Africa Creative DDB
Reminds me of Heinz’s Ketchup and Seemingly Ranch. Another perfect example of reacting efficiently to stay relevant with cultural moments.
Coors Brewing Company, Rethink
I love how they took off-brand and made it on-brand, down to the feeling of it all. This also goes to show that no matter how it’s recreated, this brand is instantly recognizable by all.
Coca-Cola, VML
My thoughts while watching: Oh, I know what’s gonna happen. Oh, never mind, it’s not what I expected. Oh… it’s actually worse than I thought. The comparison to show one is deadlier than the other… it’s the sad reality.
Change the Ref, Klick Health
Ask any of my friends and they’ll say I use the word “meta” a lot. With that said, this ad is one of the most meta things I’ve ever seen.
DoorDash, Wieden+Kennedy
